| The Torbay Catchment Group | The Torbay Catchment Group formed following interest generated at a community meeting at Elleker Hall in March 1999. Eighty eight people attended talks on environmental issues in the catchment. This fantastic turn-out showed that as a community, we are concerned with the waterways in our area. | |
| Friends of Lake Powell | The Friends of Lake Powell has come together to learn more about the lake and educate others, get out on the Lake to keep an eye on it so that management can be improved, help with practical management and to generally enjoy visiting the lake together. | |
| Woodbury Boston | Woodbury Boston Primary School are participating in Watershed Torbay. The children contribute photos, essays, poems, and interviews, they will be involved in monitoring and sampling the waterways, and with planting. | |
| Torbay Hill Ratepayers and Residents Association |
The Torbay Hill Residents and Ratepayers Association responds to the issues raised by residents of the Torbay Hill Area. Our focus is on care of the local environment and the fostering of community building. We organise social events, work together to eradicate weeds and are currently concentrating on the management of Cosy Corner. Cosy Corner is an area under extreme pressure from growing numbers of campers. We are currently working with the City of Albany to review and implement a management plan for the area. We are keen to work with neighbouring local groups and include wider issues, so please contact us if your group wants to network.
