The Torbay Catchment Group has secured funding from the regional NRM organisation SCRIPT, that will address the actions identified in the catchment restoration plan. The funding will be available over a three year period, from 2006 to 2009, to support a range of on-ground activities for all landholders in the catchment. Detailed information is available, and a directory of materials and service providers for various activities is also provided. To apply for funding, please print and complete an application form, then contact Karen McKeough to arrange a site visit. Applications can be faxed to 9842-1204, mailed to Po Box 525, Albany 6331 or given directly to Karen.

The Torbay Catchment Group can provide technical advice to landholders on a range of issues related to catchment health.

We can advise on:

  • Designing stock crossings
  • Designing watering points
  • Fence construction
  • The native plants that will grow best on your land
  • Nutrient stripping
  • Protecting waterways
  • Converting drains into living streams
