![]() Terry Allen and John Blaney-Murphy supervise catchment deputy chair, Maurice McCormack (left) and chair, Phil Mellon, during the catchment tour lunch! Its time friends, catchment folk to ask yourselves what you think you can do to help with the big task ahead to improve the health of the catchment. "Fencing", its a wonderful and necessary part of our way of life if we look beyond ourselves and think of our floral and faunal friends. You will read about some great fencing work being done by some of our neighbours. Good on all of you out there fencing, planting, soil testing, liming, putting in perennials, weeding and generally keeping an eye out for each other. The catchment tour was a great way to see some of the work and have a snag and a natter. Perhaps you have some amusing and not so amusing stories of your efforts on your land - bogged tractors, near misses. Lets hear them. There is money to give you a leg up with helping out - if you haven't taken it up - why not go for it? Talk to Steve 9841 0120 or Karen 9841 0128 who will come out and visit on your place. The catchment meetings have been revved up with talks or tours at each one - so come along. Regards Phil Mellon |
