5.1 Fertiliser Trials
Simon Wilkinson, Summit Fertilisers has been invited to discuss trials (you may also hear this from Andrew Marshall) .
Simon Wilkinson spoke regarding the setting up of trials in the TCG as outlined in the plan. He wishes to donate his time and soil testing for these plots. A sub-committee is to be formed with the DoE, the landholders and the Dept of Ag to establish trial plots and monitor outcomes.
5.2 Presentation - Rachael Duffield
Rachael Duffield from Dept of Environment - Environmental Water Requirement Study for Marbellup Brook. (Rachael would like to give a brief presentation about the work she is undertaking).
Karen McKeough introduced Rachael Duffield who gave a powerpoint display/presentation outlying the study.
5.3 Torbay Catchment Group
Implementation of agreed actions from restoration plan (see attached programme) .
Karen McKeough gave a summary of the progress thus far taken from the restoration plan outlines.
Simon Wilkinson proposed that a letter be written to DOLAR in establishing boundaries (see #20 in the plan summary) seconded M McCormick.
5.4 2006 National Theiss Riverprize application
Karen McKeough proposed that we apply for the Riverprize. Moved M McCormick seconded Phillip Marshall, carried. Karen McKeough to fill out the application.
5.5 Improving the membership & attendance at TCG meetings
Karen McKeough proposed that Guest speakers be asked to attend most meetings. These speakers to be representatives from relevant industries/ departments of interest to the TCG. A diary of meeting dates and speakers to be drawn up by secretary and sent to members.
5.6 Membership lists
A data base is being drawn up by Steve May but he needs updates. Members can contact him with any details.
5.7 Lotteries Grant Seminar
This will be attended by John Blaney-Murphey and Phil Mellon.
5.8 Catchment Update Bus Tour
Catchment Update Bus Tour set for the 19 March, 2006.
5.9 Inventory
Steve May is trying to establish an inventory of equipment, stock and supplies of the TCG. Contact Steve if you know of any items stored
