  1. MEETING OPENED by President Phil Mellon

    ATTENDANCES: Phil Mellon (President), Pauline Irving, Graeme Heighton (Treasurer), McKeough (DoE), Louise Duxbury, Andrew Marshall, Phillip Marshall, Jan Orchard, John Blaney-Murphy, Adrian Stratico

    APOLOGIES: Steve May (DoE), Maurice McCormick, Chris Westcott, Peter Collins (CALM)

    A presentation by ATA Environmental - the bioenergy power station. Presented by Renae Kaciuba and question time answers by Richard Allen and Noel Davies. A most informative presentation.

  2. CONFIRMATION OF PREVIOUS MINUTES:

    Minutes of the previous meeting were moved as accepted by Andrew Marshall seconded by John Blaney-Murphy

  4. TREASURER'S REPORT:

    Presented by Graeme Heighton. Copy to be tabled. Moved as accepted by Phillip Marshall, seconded by John Blaney-Murph

  5. GENERAL BUSINESS:

    5.1 Information of approved grants

    Karen Mckeogh stated that fencing grants have been approved. However the grant for the fencing application for the potato growers will require the correct paperwork before the application can be considered.

    5.2 Fertiliser Trials. Update

    Two meetings have been held and progress being made with 4 persons interested in holding the trial in this area. Pre-soil tests have been started and then fertilizer rate then set and monitoring to be established.

    5.3 Update on the Marbellup Protection Plan

    19 May there is to be a Microbiology conference TBA

    5.5 Website

    The restructuring of the Torbay Catchment Group Website will be on-line on Monday. The website is www.torbay.scric.org

    5.6 Resignation

    Due to ill health the Secretary Pauline Irving has resigned

    5.7 Bar opening

    Due to high levels in Lake Powell the bar was reopened. It remained open for a few days but it has closed again. In future, these openings will be e-mailed to TCG members and interested parties.

    5.8 Bridge Collapse

    A bridge on a local farm has collapsed into a Watercorp drain but action for this has been stalled. Adrian Stratico will investigate.
