Presentation

Louise Duxbury, the recipient of the 2007 GSDC Medal for Excellence in Natural Resource Management reported on her visits to Environmental Education Centres and Farming and Agriculture communities in New Zealand, Canada, Europe and Nepal. Louise particularly noted the effects of climate change on Canadian ice fields. She gave examples of positives that can be drawn from Canada for example such as the community rebuilding projects and how the communities are responding to the challenges of the need for change.
