1. Welcome, attendance and apologies

   The Chairperson, Phillip Mellon welcomed those present to the meeting at 1945.

   • Minutes of the previous General meeting, July 30th and Executive meeting, August 20th were circulated prior to the meeting.

3. Financial Report

   There was no Treasurer's Report

   Phillip reported that $20,000 was transferred to the cheque account

4. Staff Reports:
   • Catchment survey sent out with some responses already received.
   • Working on obtaining State Government funding to employ 1 FTE and budget for ongoing on ground works.
   • Project inspections
   • Supply of seedlings to planting projects
   • Greencorps funding application for Cultural Mapping Project in partnership with Wilson's Inlet Catchment Group and Dept for Indigenous Affairs. Fencing and weed eradication project Dec 2008 to June 2009.

5. General Business:

   5.1 Twinnings:
   Phil gave a verbal report of his visit to Jarlmadangah Community

   5.2 River Symposium Art project:
   Completed and sent

   5.3 Weed Eradication Plan:
   City of Albany will repeat the same road verges as 2007, Corrective Services and Water Corporation have indicated they will be involved again this year. Members of the catchment group indicated their involvement. Karen has the products required.

   5.4 Rail Trail Grant:
   It was decided to appoint the consultants to scope the project as indicated in the grant application. Karen to progress.
