The finance report which accepted by Maurice McCormick and seconded by Andrew Marshall.
Lesley tabled her report and explained points from it.
6.1 Rail Trail Project:
Lawrence reported on his attendance at the State Wide Trails Conference. Dept Sport and Recreation sponsored a place at the conference and Lawrence attended as our delegate. Lawrence made contact with several people from the Rail Trail Reference Group who pledged their support if we are successful in progressing the trail project.
Several recommendations came from his attendance at the conference which he has already communicated to the working group. The members present found Lawrence's report very informative and he has provided us with important direction for the project. We thanked him for attending on our behalf.
6.2 Twinning Project update:
Albany Primary school having another catchment trip tomorrow, 25/6/09. They will be revisiting projects at Andrew and Liz Marshall's property, Shapland's to learn about Hydroponic based horticulture, Macro invertebrate sampling and the Bird Hide at Lake Powell.
DVD is almost ready for sending to school at Jarlmadangah.
6.3 River Foundation Conference:
Phil and Anthony Watson to be invited to attend.
Action: Phil to pay registration and organise flights and accommodation. Lawrence to assist in making contact with Anthony if required as he is travelling north

Lesley asked for suggestions for future meetings.
6.5 Opportunities
Maurice reminded us of opportunities presented by Cabinet meeting in Albany. Unfortunately there will not be opportunity to meet and discuss the need for funding continued water monitoring.
6.6 Kikuyu Intrusion into Martin's restoration project Mtg suggested we talk to Gary Martin re making a plan for weed eradication.
6.7 Onground Works funding:
Pip asked if funds can be redirected or if we can negotiate a variation of contract to fund an extended weed strategy or a roadside recovery project.
Action: Lesley to consider
6.8 Wastewater Plant:
John raised the issue of the Wastewater Plant expansion not being funded. It was suggested this be raised on August 5th when Water Corporation representatives present.
Action: Lesley to make contact
