MEETING

1. Welcome, attendance and apologies:

   After the presentation: Native Orchids - hidden treasures of Torbay by Keith Smith. The Deputy Chairperson, Phillip Mellon welcomed those present to the meeting.

2. Matters arising from Previous Minutes:

   Minutes of the previous general meeting were read.

3. Correspondence and matters arising:

   3.1.2 Letter from Elizabeth Nation thanking TGC for their help

   3.1.3 Numerous membership applications received

   There was no outward correspondence

   Correspondence accepted by Chris Westcott and seconded by Maurice McCormick.

4. Financial Report:

   The Treasurer tabled the Finance Report

   • Cash Management Account: $16,8732.29
   • Cheque Account: $13,313.80

   The Treasurer Graeme Heighton proposed the meeting accept the finance report which was seconded by Keith Smith.

5. Staff report

   Lesley Hart presented her report (tabled)

   • Project completion / follow up
   • Report card - went out to all landholders
   • Workshops held in the Elleker hall - well received
   • Catchment signage - making good progress
   • Annual weed control program - more TCG volunteers required
   • Rail trail - meeting held to discuss implications of Munda Biddi funding for development of the Torbay - Elleker Rail Trail
   • Information regarding the Water Corporation making a request to discharge from Tree Farm Dam into 7 Mile Creek.

   Matter Arising: Moved by Maurice McCormick that a letter of concern to be sent to the Water Corporation regarding treated wastewater from Tree Farm Dam being released into 7 Mile Creek. Seconded by Des Wolfe.

David Broadhurst from SCNRM

• gave an update of current projects
• general outline of future business plan and projects
• also proposed TCG joining SCNRM as a group - this will be looked at in the future.
