MEETING

1. Welcome, attendance and apologies:

   The Chairperson, Phillip Mellon welcomed those present to the meeting at 1930.

2. Matters arising from Previous Minutes:

   Minutes of the previous annual general meeting were read.
   There were no matters arising.

   Confirmation of previous minutes: by Maurice McCormick. Seconded by Rod Nation..

3. Chairpersons Report:

   Phil Mellon gave a brief outline of the past years activities covering

   • Continuation of Implementation of Restoration Plan
   • Funding from SCNRM
   • On-ground works
   • Volunteer work from the Dept of Corrective Services and Green Corps
   • The mailout of the Report Card
   • Community awareness activities
   • The work done in conjunction with the local Albany Primary School and the Jarlmadangah Aboriginal Community in the Kimberley. Plans to discuss possible furthering of the Twinnings Project when attends International River Symposium
   • Assistance given by the group to other communities within the catchment on environmental issues
   • The appointment of the new Torbay Catchment Project Officer Lesley Hart - SCNRM will fund this position until early December
   • Future plans for looking to identifying further funding opportunities to continue the coordinator position
   • Rail trail grants
     • feasibility study
     • implementation plan

   Moved to accept report Rod Nation, seconded by Des Wolfe

4. Financial Report:

   The Treasurer tabled the Finance Report

   • Cash Management Account: $168,732
   • Cheque Account: $13,313

   The Treasurer Graeme Heighton proposed the meeting accept the finance report subject to audit (Sue Wheatcroft) which was seconded by Maurice McCormick.

5. Election of Office Bearers

   Des Wolfe thanked the Chair and Secretary and declared all positions vacant.
   Nominations were called for the following positions:

   Chair:	remains vacant
   Secretary:	Pauline Irving volunteered
   Treasurer:	Graeme Heighton volunteered
   Vice Chairperson:	Phil Mellon volunteered
   Auditor:	Graeme Heighton nominated Sue Wheatcroft, all agreed.
   Executive members:	Keith Smith Andrew Marshall Maurice McCormick Des Wolfe Pip Tillbrook Terri Harwood
   Membership Officer:	Kylie Riches

6. Other business:

   Des Wolfe moved Membership stays the same price at $5, seconded by Maurice McCormick - carried
