MEETING

1. Welcome, attendance and apologies:

   Des Wolfe opened the meeting at 8.15pm thanking Leslie for her presentation.

2. Confirmation of previous minutes and matters arising:
   John Blaney-Murphy moved minutes accepted, seconded Graeme Heighton

3. Correspondence and matters arising:

   3.1 Inwards:

   • Minister of Water, Graham Jacobs - response to our letter regarding the breach of licence by the water corporation for the release of treated wastewater for its tree farm dam at Gunn Road.
   • Letter from the Premier Of WA - as above
   • City of Albany - response to our unsuccessful application for community services funding.

   3.2 Outwards:

   • Letter to Robert Fenn - thank you note

   Business arising: Moved Maurice McCormick
   That a letter be written in reply to Graham Jacobs asking

   • Could he please answer the questions raised in the previous correspondence (attach copies)
   • hat the Torbay Catchment Group be fully informed of all future developments regarding the Water Corporation decisions affecting the catchment area.

4. Financial report:
   4.1 Treasurer's Report - Graeme presented his report Tabled

   Moved that the financial report be accepted by Graeme seconded by Elizabeth Nation

6. General Business:
   Late agenda items

   6.1 update rail trail:
   Phil and Leslie gave a short report on the progress Pip will be taking on the funding work given for the rail trail for the planning in partnership with DEC

   6.2 update and discussion on Maintenance works at Marshall Wetland:
   (done during the presentation)

   6.3 other business:
   Small equipment purchases
   Des mentioned that there are some small grants available for small equipment purchase for community groups which he and Leslie will investigate.
   Leslie requested some immediate purchase required for maintenance work.
   ACTION Leslie to investigate small equipment purchases and Des to look into available secondhand equipment from the City of Albany

   Elizabeth Nation requested permission for signage indicating TCG's support of the wildlife corridor established on her property.
   Moved Phil Mellon that a sign be given, seconded by John Blaney-Murphy
   ACTION Leslie to investigate costs

   Twinnings:
   Phil remarked that there has been no happenings with twinnings as yet

   The National Landcare Forum is being held this year in Brisbane October 11-14 October, applications for this are closing Friday
